Welcome to my Pederson Literacy, LLC website. Since the fall of 1992, I have supported the literacy growth of students who struggle in their mastery of reading and writing skills. Students who use this service vary in age from kindergarten learners to university-level seniors as they work to meet their individual learning goals. Additionally, some students enroll for study skills coaching to boost current school performance while others complete individualized study skills program designed to strengthen future university level performance. ACT prep in English and Reading areas is available. A significant segment of my client-base consists of pre-readers and early-readers who are showing slight to significant delays in learning essential literacy skills. Some students also represent the critical stages, early fourth-grader and seventh-grade, when students are moving into new levels of schooling along with increased demands for independent performance abilities.

In addition to individualized tutorials, I also provide diagnostic assessments designed to identify significant reading disorders as well provide testing targeting specific areas such as reading comprehension or reading fluency. Screening of literacy skills when starting tutorials is required of all new students.

My client base extended from outstate Wisconsin and Minnesota to the Twin Cities such as St. Paul, Minneapolis, Woodbury, Stillwater, Afton, Maplewood, White Bear Lake and local communities such as Hudson, River Falls, and Roberts.

I am the sole provider of the above services. The blend of professional tasks helps me to be current in the specific needs of students, their parents, and school systems so that I can effectively facilitate the development of the needed diagnosis and intervention to meet these needs.
